An American singer and actor, born in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, California, USA. He was married to Sharon Mae Lubin (1956–1971) and had two children before their divorce. In 1974, he married singer and actress Lani Hall, and they had one son. He won Grammy Awards for his recordings in 1997, 1989, 1988, 1980, 1967, 1966, and 2014. He also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1977 for his musical work. Among his most notable works are Never Say Never Again (1983), Iron Man Three (2013), Ocean's Eight (2018), and Witness (1985). He was the leader of a band that achieved many successful songs in the 1960s, reaching number one on the Billboard charts in 1968. His albums, music, and songs won seven Grammy Awards, and he co-founded the largest record company in the world (A&M). He was born of Russian Jewish descent. He attended Melrose Elementary School, the University of Southern California, and the Army Band School while enlisted.
