An Iranian actress, film and theater director, and screenwriter, who emigrated from Iran in 1987 and lives and works in Sweden. She is the first non-European person to play a leading role on a national stage in Sweden. She graduated from the Department of Performing Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran, and began acting in the series Ballad of Tara (1979). Her works followed, such as Death of Yazdgerd (1982), The Spell (1987), and the series Orka! Orka! (2004).
