An American actor, born in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, as Leonard Thomas Clapham. Tom London married three times and had no children. Among his most important works are Trail of Kit Carson (1945), Alias Billy the Kid (1946), Chasing Trouble (1926), and Corpus Christi Bandits (1945).
Tom London was a prolific actor who worked in the era of silent cinema, joined the sound era, and continued to appear on the screen until the early sixties. He played many roles in Western B films, and according to the Guinness Book of Records, Tom London appeared in most Western films in the history of Hollywood.
London spent his early years as a salesman, then in Chicago in the field of real estate, and his experience with horses led him to work in silent American Westerns, and when Western films stopped in the mid-fifties, his career declined, and he appeared in a few more films for the rest his life. He died in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on December 5, 1963.
