In 1992, she became an artist-in-residence at Iowa State University, where a theater scholarship was established in her name, and she taught students how to handle exams and work in television. She is known for Starlight: A Musical Movie (1988) and True Story (1958). She died on December 12, 2004, in Joplin, Missouri.
