She is a Danish actress, born in Denmark. Her daughter is the actress Nikolaj Bjørn-Andersen. In 1996, she was nominated for the Bodil Award for Best Actress for her role in Menneskedyret (1995), and in 2000, she was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Danish Film Awards for her role in Bornholms stemme (1999). She married the musician Fini Høstrup.
