An American actor, born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Edwin Stanley married Maude Muller (1895-1922). They had two children, and she remained with him until her death. Then he married Minerva, who remained with him until he died. Among his most important works are Conflict (1945), King Lear (1916), Some Blondes Are Dangerous (1937), and The Phantom Creeps (1939). Edwin Stanley was trained in live theater until the early thirties. He appeared in some silent films, and in 1932, he began working in talkies, specializing in the roles of officials. He also appeared in many serials and worked in vaudeville and on Broadway. He died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on December 25, 1944.
