An American actor, born in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, on February 23, 1933, as Lawrence William McCormick. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2002 for his television work. He married Anita McCormick, who remained with him until his death, and they had three children. Among his most important works are Throw Momma from the Train (1987), The Punisher (1989), S.W.A.T. (2003), and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003).
He worked as a film and television actor, radio and television news reporter, news anchor, and voice actor. He started his entertainment career as a DJ for a radio station and appeared as a broadcaster in many films. He also appeared as a guest in many television series. His father was a pastor and his mother was a pianist and singer.
He graduated from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and was one of the first black newscasters in Los Angeles. Larry McCormick passed away at the age of 71 in Los Angeles, California, USA, on August 27, 2004.
