An American film, theater, and television actress, and theater producer and director, born in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, on August 15, 1912. Among her most important works are Mork & Mindy (1978), Going Berserk (1983), Frankie and Johnny (1991), and Survival Run (1979).
She attended Northwestern University and the University of Kansas. She began her acting career at the Pasadena Playhouse, where she performed a role after an audition, and after two years, she became a professional actress.
She appeared on Broadway for the first time in 1951 and participated in plays there until the early sixties, then she toured a number of states, in addition to performing in regional stage productions. Kerr produced several plays and founded the Glendale Civic Theater in 1947. In 1952, she launched the Resident Theater in North Hollywood, where she also directed. Elizabeth Kerr passed away at the age of 87 in Long Beach, California, USA, on January 13, 2000.
