A Cypriot actor, director, and writer, born in Limassol, Cyprus, in 1931. He married Maroulla Sekkides in 1962, and they have one child. Among his most important works are Danger Man (1960), Medea (1982), and Man of the World (1962). George Eugeniou is the founder and artistic director of Theatro Technis in London, which was founded in 1957.
He traveled to London in 1950 to study theater and trained at Morley College. He obtained a scholarship at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. In 1954, he presented small roles in the theater in Scotland and London, and in the mid-fifties, he began his work in television and cinema. He wrote plays and poems, and in 1957, he established Theatro Technis as a radical and comprehensive theater that aimed to break down barriers between nationalities, religions, sexual orientations, classes, ages, and languages, and he devoted himself entirely to that theater. He also helped Cypriot citizens gain their rights in the United Kingdom.
