An American vaudeville entertainer and actor, born as Joseph Conrad Lind Jr. in San Francisco, California, USA. He married actress and singer Mary Healy (1940-98), they had two children, and she remained with him until his death. He attended parochial school in Cairo, Illinois, during his early childhood, after which he moved to New Rochelle, NY, where he continued his education. He first worked in vaudeville with his mother when he was 6 years old.
He appeared in films during the 1930s and 1940s, and had a television career in the 1950s. During World War II, he served valiantly in the US Army Air Force, serving as a Technical Sergeant. He appeared with his wife in films, nightclubs, theatres, radio, and television. Some of his notable works are Seventeen (1940), The Senator Was Indiscreet (1947) and The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. (1953). He died of vascular disease in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on April 21, 1998.
