A Canadian actress, born in Edmonton, Canada. She was of Ukrainian descent. She launched her acting career at the age of 13 on stage, and later started her radio career. She also worked as a model. She studied drama at the University of Alberta. Her film debut was in The Quiet Woman (1951). Her notable works include Night Passage (1957), Drive a Crooked Road (1954), and The Violent Men (1955). She married several times and had three children. She died on July 27, 2019, in Hidden Hills, California, USA.
