An American actress born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States. She was married three times and had two children. In 1960, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contributions to cinema. She began her film career as a child actress and was famously the first wife of comedian Charlie Chaplin. She began her screen career in 1912 at the age of eleven. At one point, she was among the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood, however, with the rise of sound films, her career declined. Some of her most notable works include The Doctor and the Woman (1918), The Price of a Good Time (1917), For Husbands Only (1918), and Old Dad (1920). Mildred Harris passed away in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, on July 20, 1944, from pneumonia at the age of 42.
