His most notable film credits include The Phantom of the Opera (1925), Blind Husbands (1919), The Red Lily (1924), and Greed (1924). He came to the United States via Canada, arriving in Hollywood in 1914, and worked as a movie extra. He returned to England in 1944. He died in London, England, UK, on September 9, 1951, at the age of 74.
