An American actor, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. He was married twice and had no children. He studied drama at Columbia University and was active on Broadway from 1934 to 1942. During World War II, he served in naval intelligence. Some of his most notable works include Mysterious Island (1951), Marie Antoinette (1938), Bachelor Mother (1939), and Congo Bill (1948). He passed away in Los Angeles, California, United States, on May 20, 1975, following a heart attack at the age of 67.
