An American actress, born in Chicago, Illinois, USA, as Virginia Louise Engels. She appeared on the screen during the forties and played uncredited parts such as a showgirl and a pretty girl. She won the Miss Los Angeles title in 1940 and was arrested in 1950 for drunk driving. Her first marriage ended in divorce, and the second in the stabbing of her husband to death during a quarrel between them in 1954, but she was later acquitted. Among her works are The Fuller Brush Man (1948), Obliging Young Lady (1942), and Just This Once (1952). She died of meningitis in Los Angeles, California, USA on December 5, 1956, at the age of 39.
