Shaimaa Saied |
An American radio and television announcer and actor, born in Greeley, Colorado, USA. He was famous for covering sporting events and the Tournament of Roses parade for Los Angeles Television, as well as for his civic activities for Hollywood and his participation in its development. He was a former president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. He attended the Colorado State College of Education and appeared in film and television in the roles of broadcaster, reporter, and journalist.
He married Lucinda Pennington, who stayed with him until his death. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1980 for his television work. Among his notable works are Savage Intruder (1970), Dragstrip Girl (1957), and The Rose Bowl Story (1952). He died of an aneurysm in Thousand Oaks, California, USA, on February 27, 2000, at the age of 89.
