A Brazilian writer and producer, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He served in the military police in Rio de Janeiro from 1990 to 2004, and later worked as a security consultant. He holds a graduate degree in Urban Sociology from the State University of Rio de Janeiro.
He was a columnist for Jornal do Brasil. He also wrote a book drawn from his experience in the police force entitled "Elite da Tropa", which was adapted into the movie Tropa de Elite (2007), and its sequel Tropa de Elite 2: O Inimigo Agora é Outro (2010). He's also known for Bus 174 (2002) and Intervenção: É Proibido Morrer (2021).
