Shaimaa Saied |
An American actor, writer and sculptor, born in New York City. He attended Cornell University for two years to study fine arts, and left it upon the death of his father, an advertising executive. He worked in advertising, and at the age of twenty he became a sculptor, and traveled the world, and his works appeared in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
He worked intermittently in acting, and left acting to become a writer and drama critic. Among his notable works are The Pleasure Seekers (1964) and Adventures in Paradise (1959-1962). He married painter Madeleine Madigan (1983-2001) and they had two children. He died of prostate cancer in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA on November 21, 2001, at age 69.
