She was an American actress, writer, and model. She was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, USA. She graduated from the University of Mississippi. Her brother was the bohemian surrealist Charles Henri Ford. Before her work in Hollywood, she appeared in Orson Welles' plays at the Mercury Theater and also worked on Broadway in 1938. She married two times and had two children. She is known for Musical Comedy Time (1951) and Too Much Johnson (1938). She passed away at the age of 98, on
August 12, 2009, in Manhattan, New York, USA.
