A prolific American-Canadian film actor, born in Ontario, Canada. He worked in vaudeville at the beginning of his career and caught up with the end of the silent cinema era. He continued to work in sound cinema, and he also appeared in some television works. He married Raven, who stayed with him until his death. Among his notable works are Beasts of Paradise (1923), Buck Rogers (1939), and The Winner's Circle (1948). He died in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on May 15, 1969, at age 83.
