An American actor, born in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was one of the pioneers of the small and big-screen industries in the golden days of Hollywood. He sold newspapers as a young man. He participated in illegal boxing matches during his teens, and during high school, he won a football scholarship to North Carolina. His strong body and muscles qualified him to play the roles of Indians, cowboys, and Mexicans. He started out with small roles in Hollywood, and eventually the roles grew as he played the role of the villain in Western television films. He is known for Sorry, Wrong Number (1948), Yellow Fin (1951), and Pier 5, Havana (1959). He died at the age of 83 on October 25, 1999, in Walnut Creek, California, USA.
