A British film and television actor, born in Barry, South Wales, UK. He had an experience in silent cinema in 1918, and he continued his cinematic work after the introduction of sound into films in the early thirties, while his theatrical experience was on West End in the early forties. He appeared in guest spots on many television shows in the United Kingdom and America, in addition to Hollywood films. Among his notable works are Murder at the Burlesque (1949), Rembrandt (1936) and It’s Never Too Late to Mend (1937). He married actress Eileen Livesey in 1923, they had three children, and she remained with him until his death. He died in Burbank, California, USA on October 12, 1961, from an aneurysm, at age 60.
