A German actress, born in Berlin, Germany. She is the daughter of the politician Otto Schily and the painter Christiane Schily and the great-granddaughter of the architect Bruno Taut. She started studying Slavic studies, then dropped out after two semesters, then went to study acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. She is known for The Legend of Rita (2000) and Nora (2003).
