An English film actor, born in Southsea, England, United Kingdom. John Penrose graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 1936 and made his debut in London at the St James's Theatre. He began to appear in films during the outbreak of WWII. His credits include The Adventures of P.C. 49: Investigating the Case of the Guardian Angel (1949), Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949), The Adventures of Tartu (1943), and Corridor of Mirrors (1948). He died in London, England, United Kingdom, on May 22, 1983, at the age of 69.
