An English writer, director, actor, and producer with a long career in film and television, born in Bolton, Lancashire, England. Michael Armstrong trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and was writing and directing films at the age of 22. He also worked as a film critic for a magazine. Among his most important works are The Haunted House of Horror (1969), House of the Long Shadows (1983), Mark of the Devil (1970), and Screamtime (1983).
