An English film and television actress, born in East Ham, London, England, United Kingdom. Cicely Walper married Lester Matthews in 1922, they had a child, then they divorced. Several years later, they married again in 1962, and he remained with her until he died in 1975. Among her most important works are The Killing of Sister George (1968), The Romantic Age (1949), Love at First Bite (1979), and The Rogues (1965). Walper played secondary roles such as a society woman, a maid, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. She died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on January 18, 1981, at the age of 81.
