A British actress, born in Carhampton, Somerset, England, United Kingdom. Gwendolyn Watts married actor Gertan Klauber (1959-2000), and he remained with her until her death. Among her most important works are Thursday Theatre (1964), Carry on Matron (1972), The Avengers (1961), and Billy Liar (1963).
Gwendolyn worked in cinema and television and appeared at Wyndham's Theatre from 1954 to 1959. She appeared on television in 1958, and in cinema in 1960, and specialized in supporting prominent British comedians such as Benny Hill. She gave up acting full-time in the early 1970s to raise her children but returned a few years later. Gwendolyn Watts died in England, United Kingdom, on February 5, 2000, from a heart attack at the age of 62.
