An American actress, dancer, and illusionist, born in Oakland, California, USA. Gloria was married four times and had no children. Her most notable works include Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957), King of the Congo (1952), The Prodigal (1955), and Mexicans (1945). She is best known for being the first illusionist to perform in Las Vegas. She also appeared in the Golden Age of Hollywood, performing roles as a princess, a senorita, a nurse, a telephone operator, and a chorus girl, in addition to dancing. She learned magic tricks from her father at the age of four, and by the age of seven, she was known as the youngest illusionist in the world. She worked in Hollywood films from the mid-1940s to the late 1950s. Gloria was active in community organizations in Burbank, serving as a member of the Women's Council and president of the Hobby Show. She won the Women's Council Service Award in 1964. After retiring from entertainment, she worked as an insurance salesperson, then sold new and used cars for a Chevrolet dealership. She spent her final years performing magic tricks at a nursing home. Gloria died in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on March 18, 2023, of a coronary artery occlusion at the age of 100.
