A Canadian-American gymnast, circus acrobat, actor, and stunt double, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He worked as a war correspondent for the Army during World War II and was the model for Salvador Dali's painting "Saint John." He died in West Los Angeles, California, USA, on May 29, 2001, at the age of 82. His most notable works include: Platinum High School (1960), Varieties on Parade (1951), Underground Aces (1981), and The Goonies (1985).
