An American film and television actor, born in Reading, Pennsylvania, USA. John Albright's most notable works include Kraft Mystery Theater (1963), King of the Gamblers (1948), Gangster Story (1959), and I, Jane Doe (1948). John began his career in 1935, playing the roles of hotel boys, students, dancers, elevator operators, and waiters. His career was interrupted by World War II, when he joined the Air Force. After the war, he signed with MGM during the height of the musical era, due to his youthful looks and dancing ability. He then moved on to roles as a city slicker and court spectator in Westerns. In the 1950s, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Extras Guild and continued to work in film and television. Throughout the 1970s, he appeared in documentaries to talk about his memories of performing in Gone with the Wind. John Albright died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on October 24, 2001, from complications of pneumonia, at the age of 88.
