It won the main prize at a local festival, the Patagonian Art Biennial. His second short film, Lejos del sol, won Best...Read more Short Film at the 2005 Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema. He gained international recognition with his third short film, Primera nieve, which won the Jury Prize for Short Films at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival and Best Short Film at the Gijón International Film Festival. He then went on to make several feature films as a writer, director, and producer.
