An Argentine director, producer, and writer, born in Mendoza, Argentina. He made his first short film, Mas allá de las puertas, when he was just 15 years old. It won the main prize at a local festival, the Patagonian Art Biennial. His second short film, Lejos del sol, won Best Short Film at the 2005 Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema. He gained international recognition with his third short film, Primera nieve, which won the Jury Prize for Short Films at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival and Best Short Film at the Gijón International Film Festival. He then went on to make several feature films as a writer, director, and producer.
