Following a number of delays it was finally announced that Wednesday, the 29th of December will be the date from the premier of “Al Wattar”. Actress Ghada A’del assumes the leading role in that production which is her second cinematic work this year following “Ibn Al Qonsol” (“The Consul’s Son”) a work which saw her perform alongside Ahmed El Sekka and Khaled Saleh. That production premiered during the Eid holiday in 2010.“Al Wattar” utilizes a screenplay that was authored by Mohamed Nayyer. The work is directed by Magdy Al Hawwary and produced by Unicorn and United Brothers. The title features the talents of Mostafa Sha’ban, Ghada A’del, Arwa Goudeh, Ahmed El Saa’dany and Sawsan Bader. Moreover, music banda “Sahraa” have also lent their talents to the work.Ghada A’del presents the role of “Maysaa Ibrahim A’bd Al Khaleq” while actress Arwa Goudeh assumes the role of her sister “Menna”. Both characters play the violin and the cello for the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. They are both accused of murdering a young musician by the name of “Hassan Ragheb” who is portrayed by Ahmed Saadany. The murder case is investigated by “Major Mohamed Selim” whose character is presented by Mostafa Sha’ban. Through his investigation the Major uncovers the enmity and envy between the two sisters and, moreoever, that each have their own motives for murdering “Hassan Ragheb”. Additionally, the major also discovers that both sisters have betrayed one another through maintaining relationships with “Hassan Ragheb” who, in turn, was manipulating both. Thus the major “Mohamed Selim” continues his chase for the real murderer who for the moment is merely a hypothetical figure in his head. The major tries to put together all of the motives and all of the potential suspects he encounters and soon learns that “Hassan Ragheb” was a despicable person, unworthy of life. Nonetheless, the major persists in the chase which has somehow acquired a life of its own.
