Esteemed actor Nour el-Shereef will commence today, Tuesday, shooting outdoor scenes for his new television production “Bayn al-Shawtayn”. El-Shereef had agreed along with the rest of the production’s crew to begin shooting outdoor scenes ahead of the conclusion of design engineer A’del al-Maghraby’s work on preparing the indoor set at studios owned by the “King Tut” production company.Nour portrays the character of “Gamal Gouda”, an agricultural engineer who goes on retirement and thereafter goes through a series of encounters that highlight the extent to which society has changed in recent years. Thus Gamal learns that he is unable to reconcile his old-fashioned views with prevailing understandings that have come to define present day society. Thus the series takes a look at the relationship between today’s youths and older generations. The name “Bayn al-Shawtayn” – that is, “Between Halves” – is in fact a reference to the period of rest that Egyptian workers get when they begin their retirement.“Bayn al-Shawtayn” utilizes a screenplay that was authored by screenwriter A’bd Al Raheem Kamal and features the talents of Ma’aaly Zayed, A’mr al-Hariry, Hussein al-Imam, Lotfy Labib, Sahhar Ramy, Ahmed Halawa and Hussam Sha’aban in addition to a number of new faces. Nour el-Shereef has traditionally made use of each new work of his to introduce a number of new talents. The title is directed by A’mr A’bd Al Aziz.
