The lyrics for “al-Masry Abou Damm Hammy” were authored by lyricist Ayman Bahgat Qammar. The song was composed by Mohamed Yahya. Music distributor Mohamed Mostafa is responsible for the distribution of the song. Also of note is the fact that Carol Samaha had commenced shooting the television series “al-Shahroura” one day prior to the outbreak of the Egyptian revolution. She subsequently left for Beirut on the 30th of January where she stayed until the situation in Egypt settled.
