‘Amr Diab commences the “Masry Begad” (“An Egyptian for Real”) campaign to revitalize the tourist sector following the revolution

Following criticism directed against him for his lack of comment during the course of the revolution, musician ‘Amr Diab has launched a campaign titled “Masry Begad” (“An Egyptian for Real”) which aims to revitalize tourism in Egypt. The drive is set to commence tomorrow Saturday, the 5th of March, at nine in the morning in front of the Egyptian museum at Tahrir square.It should be noted that as of yet it has not been revealed whether or not ‘Amr Diab will be in attendance tomorrow with the participants in the campaign that he is leading.The aims of the campaign, as stated on its facebook page are as follows:Raising awareness with regards to the importance of tourism and its contribution to the Egyptian economy and national income and determining how to deal with tourists so as to give a positive image of Egypt.
