The crew of “al-Shahroura” leave for Beirut after filming one quarter of the title’s scenes in Cairo

It is almost certain that the television series “al-Shahroura” will air this upcoming Ramadan. The production recalls the life story of renowned Lebanese artist Sabah. Carol Samaha portrays the leading role in the series, director Ahmed Shafiq has completed filming almost one quarter of the title’s scenes.Shafiq will travel to Lebanon in the company of the work’s crew in order to shoot outdoor scenes which should be filmed at their actual locations. These scenes will revolve around Sabah’s childhood and youth in addition to some of the films and concerts which took place there.It is expected that the title’s crew will spend two months in Lebanon before heading to Paris to shoot scenes which relate to later stages in Sabah’s life. Thereafter the crew are expected to return to Cairo in order to wrap up filming with a few outdoor scenes which have been put off pending a return to stability.
