Mami refuses to recognize his illegal daughter

Though he does not deny being her father, Algerian Rai superstar Cheb Mami refuses to recognize legally his daughter from his French ex-girlfriend whom he has beaten her when she was pregnant and ends up in jail for 23 months.“The prince of Rai” said, in an interview with the Algerian “Al-fajr” newspaper: “The future is open to all possibilities, what I am trying to do now is to recover my human and artistic balance. Then, I will be able to decide what I will be doing”.Mami added that he will perform “Omra” and will be more committed to prayers after God helped him out of his mess. He did not pray before going to jail nor inside it because thinks that the proximity with God must not be in difficult times only. He will pray from now onwards, after being free and getting out of his crisis.
