Scriptwriter ‘Amr Sameer ‘Aatef said that he is currently writing a different film about the January Revolution that sheds the light on the open prisons and the escaping prisoners, which created a state of insecurity and terrorized the citizens. Kareem Abdul Azeez will star the film.‘Aatef added, in an interview with Rose al-Youssef newspaper, that he was trying to be precise to the maximum extent during the writing, where he visited several prisons and studied their places. He also met a number of prisoners who surrendered or were arrested to know from them the circumstances of that period and the way they were pushed to escape.Worth mention, the last film for Kareem Abdul Azeez “Faassel wa na’oud i.e. Short break and we will be back” did not achieve great success because the film debuted in cinema one week before the January Revolution. At the same time, this will be the second meeting between him and the scriptwriter ‘Amr Sameer ‘Aatef, who wrote the successful film “ Welaad al-‘amm i.e. The Wall” , directed by Shereef ‘Arafa two years ago.
