Legendary Sabah surprised everyone when she sang during her honorary ceremony for 10 whole minutes nonstop. Sabah proved that although beyond 80 years old yet her vocal ability is still very strong. Sabah, also known as “Al Shahroora” was the star of the Oscar Video Clip Festival, that took place in Cairo Saturday evening and honored her long and fruitful career in both cinema and music.During the ceremony composer Hani Mehana directed everyone’s attention to Sabah who was sitting in the front row, who wished to thank the Egyptian audience for their love and appreciation, adding that although it wasn’t her first honorary ceremony but it proved to her that she was mostly admired by the Egyptians. Suddenly, and outburst of singing was heard in the theatre. It was Sabah singing parts of her most famous songs; “At Times” , “I’m like that pampered” and part of “They are telling me to Quit” The audience noticed how vibrant and strong Sabah’s voice still was and how perfectly she can maintain her notes and tones. Many artists and singers attended this ceremony like actress Nabila Ebaid, Samir Sabry, and singer Nadia Mostafa, actresses Boshra and Madeline Tabar, TV presenter Naglaa Ghanaam. As well as director of Egyptian radio songs and director of photography Ramses Marzook. Also attending the ceremony was famous critic Amal Bekir, and finally Mamdouh El Laithy, director of cinema and arts union. As well as Sabah, actress Nelly, musician Hani Mehana and singer Iman El Bahr Darwish (who was not present ) were all honored.
