Basem Samra : I went down to Nazlet El Seman area with “Reem, Mahmoud and Fatma”

Actor Basem Samra stated that his involvement in the series “Reem, Mahmoud and Fatma” playing the role of a horse man in Nazlet El Seman area required him having the proper information about the area and people living there. Along with the many workshops Basem attended with director Youssri Nasr Allah to prepare for his role, he also went down to Nazlet El Seman neighborhood to get acquainted with the people and know more about their habits and life styles.The series reflects the lives of 5 people after the revolution and the impact of the later on their lives socially and emotionally. One of those five is Mahmoud (played by Basem Samra) who portrayed the attack made by the people of Nazlet El Seman on the protestors during “Al Gamal” incident and how the revolution affected him later on.In an interview with “Al Wafd” newspaper, Samra was very optimistic about this movie as it truly reflects reality in a factual and documentary yet entertaining manner of how life changed for a lot of people after the revolution. Director Nasr Allah was supposed to finish filming the series by the end of the presidential elections, but now that the elections got postponed to next year, Youssri will have to complete filming the series by the end of the year and start editing. The series stars Menna Shalaby, Basem Samra, Nahed El Sebai, Farah and Salwa Mohamed Ali. It is written by Youssri Nasr Allah and Omar Shama and directed by Youssri Nasr Allah.
