Actor Hani Ramzy stated that although his new series “Son of the Regime” is not a documentary for the Egyptian revolution, yet he might need to use some of the real life scenes that were shot in Tahrir square during the revolution. He added that the series is a social comedy that sarcastically reflects the reasons that led to the revolution and the impact of the later on people’s lives later on.In an interview with “Rozal Youssef” newspaper Ramzy denied that his series will address any symbols from the old regime, but rather the regular Egyptian citizen who has been affected by the revolution.The series directed by Ashraf Salem will start shooting in January in order to play during Ramadan 2012.
