Lebanese star Serene Abdel Nour expressed dismay towards hacking her fan page on the internet. She said that she can understand people who steal to fulfill a need or for financial difficulties but she can’t understand why someone would steal her page unless it is to directly harm her. In an interview on Melody FM, Serene denied any rumors that stated that the movie “The Traveler” contained scenes of nudity that were subject to censorship. She explained that the movie only contains one scene of rape, and it is (according to her description) the most decent rape scene ever to be filmed in the Arab world. She was surprised when critics called her to ask her about the censored scenes in her movie. As for reasons why Serene did not attend the opening of the movie in Cairo, she replied that she was involved with her daughter Talia and was unable to make it to the opening but she had attended most of the movie openings whether in Egypt or outside. Serene made it very clear that she does not wish to advertise her daughter’s photos to the public. She explains that she is reluctant to force publicity upon her daughter. Serene also added that she would kill anyone who tries to harm her family or daughter as this is a restricted zone in her life.
