“Hawi “, “Live Skin”, “Spring 89” and “It isn’t Obvious” win for Egypt in Baghdad Festival

In the 3rd round for Baghdad International Cinema Festival, Egypt won 4 awards after competing with almost 160 movies from 32 countries. Awards were won throughout all 3 sections of the Festival; for long movies, documentaries and short movies. For long documentaries, the movie “Hawi” for director Ibrahim El Batoot won second place. As for international documentaries, the movie “Live Skin” won first place.For short documentaries, director Dina Abdel Salam won second place for her movie “It Isn’t Obvious”, while director Iten Ameen received the special judge’s prize for her movie “Spring 89”At the end of the festival professor Taher Elwan announced that this has been by far one of the most grand and massive festival in Iraq in terms of the amount of movies or countries participating.
