Stars inaugurate the fifth round for Abu Dhabi International Cinema Festival

In a ceremony that took place in a vast open air space, yesterday Abu Dhabi’s International Cinema Festival played the movie “Monsieur Lazhar” for the Canadian director Philipe Flardo for its opening theme. Many Arab, Egyptian and Gulf celebrities as well as foreign stars and other celebrities from the judging committee witnessed the red carpet event. Today and for 10 consecutive days the movies exhibition with start. Competing in this grand contest for 5 awards, will be 179 movies from 42 countries. There is also a special section for the international cinema as well as several specific programs.
