The director Gamal Abdulhamid expressed his outrage towards the star Ahmed Alsakka after he withdrew from starring in the television series "Karam Aljinn" and contracting with the producing company to star in another series. Abdulhamid described Alsakka's stance as juvenille, seeing as to how he did not stick up to his word, or respect their relationship.Abdulhamid told the Altahrir newspaper the story from its start. He had written a novel titled "Alwad Karam Aljinn" which deals with the stories of one of the prominent icons of corruption during the previous regime over the last thrity years. He decided to turn it into a scenario for a television series, and the artist Mahmoud Alguindy collaborated in writing it with him.Abdulhamid stated that as soon as Alsakka learned of the series' story, he asked to be its lead actor, making it his first television series to star. Abdulhamid agreed to that, and included some more action scenes within the storyline so it would agree with what the audience expects from Alsakka. In the end, Abdulhamid was surprised with Alsakka's withdrawal, and with him contracting with "Arab Screen", the producing company for "Karam Aljinn", for another television series instead. This caused Mahmoud Alguindy to be depressed and angered at Alsakka's attitude, making him lose faith in Alsakka as well as his generation as a whole.
