Actor Amr Waked announced that he is boycotting the parliamentary elections that end today Tuesday 29th of November 2011,in 9 provinces, stating that his reason for doing so was his refusal of the laws that were forced by the SCAF to manipulate the elections. He believes that the process of elections is a big game the SCAF is playing in the most theatrical way, and will not result in the changes the rebels are after but will produce a parliament made up of religious political forces and supporters of the old regime. Waked believes that the solution for this crises is for the SCAF to leave and hand over the power to a civilian presidential council, especially after the military failed to lead the transitional period which started on the 11th of February 2010, almost a year now. Not only that but SCAF kept scribing laws that breakdown the revolution such as the law to criminalize protests and sit ins.
