Kuwait’s Cinema Club celebrates the late iconic Egyptian author Naguib Mahfooz

Next Sunday at 7pm, Kuwait Cinema club along with the nation council for culture and arts are having a special celebration for the infamous legendary the late Naguib Mahfouz the international novelist. During the celebration, a movie for Naguib Mahfouz will be displayed, following that a debate, where the Kuwaiti novelist Ismail Fahd Ismail will discuss the effect of Naguib Mahfouz’s work on the Arabic novel writing. Writer and critic Sherif Saleh will also discuss the novel “The Thief and the dogs” , as well as many other writer s and authors will participate in that session. Directing the symposium will be Professor Layla Al Sabaan vice chairman of the club.Emad el Nooairy Chairman of the club explained the importance of such an event as it expresses the feeling of gratitude to one of the most famous Arab novelist in the century, whose work affected and is still affecting the ideologies of a lot of youth.
