"Arwekt El Kasr" or "The Palace Lobbies" is a bold film that reveals the most vital 18 days in Egypt's history. The decision of finally launching "Arwekt El Kasr" or "The Palace Lobbies" in cinemas at the time being is a very controversial one, may be because of the huge success that "Tahreer 2011" movie scored, or maybe it is just an attempt to commemorate our glamorous revolution. In an interview to El Masry EL Youm, Ahmed Mubarak (the film preparator) explained that the main reason for launching the movie in cinemas before satellite channels is the fear of the film's producers that satellite channels may try to modify it as to serve other causes. The film revolves in a narrative documentary context that narrates all the events Egypt witnessed between the 25th of January up till the 11th of February (the day that Egypt was reborn). Egypt's most crucial days are presented by actors who resemble the real characters, like Medhat Abo El Ezz performing as Mubarak.Up till now it hasn't been agreed upon neither the show's time, nor the producing company; however it is expected that the movie will hit screens before the 25th of January.
