As stated by "Variety" magazine, Jim Carrey is joining forces again with writers Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel where together they nailed the box office with the very successful "Yes Man" hoping for another box office success in a second part of his 2003 comedy "Bruce Almighty". The magazine also mentioned that Universal Studios are producing this second part.Despite the mixed reviews from critics about its story, "Bruce Almighty" took the #1 spot at the box office, grossing over half a billion dollars worldwide. The film is about Bruce Nolan, a down-on-his-luck TV reporter who complains to God that He isn't doing His job correctly, and is then offered the chance to try being God himself for one week. This story was globally rejected for impersonating God in a role done by actor Morgan Freeman. The film was banned in many countries and also faced an official disapproval by many religious institutions. "Evan Almighty" was a 2007 second part of the original film played by Steve Carell. However, its story didn't reach any successful measures as it did when filmed by Carrey.
